CALL FOR ABSTRACT

The Interventional Radiology Society of Pakistan (IRSP) invites submissions of original scientific research and educational exhibit abstracts for consideration at its upcoming scientific meeting.

Abstracts will be selected for oral or poster (e-poster) presentations. Abstracts submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.

Following peer review, authors will be notified of acceptance or rejection by email approximately 15 days after the submission deadline.

ABSTRACT GUIDELINES

Language
•All abstracts must be submitted in English.

Authors
•The content of the abstract is the sole responsibility of the author(s).
•Abstracts will be reproduced exactly as submitted.
•The submitting author must clearly identify the presenting author, who will serve as the primary contact for all correspondence.
•Full names, institutional affiliations, and professional positions of all co-authors must be provided.

Length
•Scientific abstracts: Maximum 2,200 characters
•Educational posters: Maximum 1,500 characters
•Case reports: Maximum 1,000 characters

Title
•The title must be concise, specific, and free of abbreviations.
•It should clearly reflect the nature of the study and attract the audience while hinting at the study’s conclusion.

Abstract Content

A well-structured abstract should include the following sections:
1.Background/Objectives:
Brief background (1–2 sentences) outlining the problem, followed by the study objectives.
2.Design and Methods:
Description of methodology, number of subjects, and scientific approach.
3.Results:
Presentation of data supporting the conclusions. Tables and figures must include explanatory captions.
4.Conclusions:
Overall conclusions and potential directions for future research.

Authors will be informed of acceptance or rejection via email.

For Accepted Authors

•One complimentary registration pass will be provided and sent up to 10 days prior to the congress.

•Authors confirming attendance will receive a free communication code, according to their submission category.

•Abstract withdrawals must be submitted in writing to irspconferencesc@gmail.com no later than [DATE].

DISCLOSURE

A disclosure form identifying any commercial relationships must be completed by the submitting author on behalf of all co-authors upon acceptance. Disclosure information for accepted abstracts will be made available to meeting attendees.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Upon acceptance, authors transfer the copyright of their abstracts to the Interventional Radiology Society of Pakistan.

Oral Presentation Instructions
•The approved abstract and title must be used as submitted; no alternate topics are permitted.
•Oral presentations are limited to 8 minutes.
•Presenters must submit their PowerPoint presentation at least 6 days before the congress to

•Presenting authors should arrive at their assigned hall 15 minutes before the session begins.
•Presentations must be provided in Microsoft PowerPoint format on a USB flash drive or CD.
•Personal laptops and macOS-based systems are not permitted.
•Duplicate media are recommended to avoid technical issues on the day of presentation.

Presenting authors should be present at their designated hall 15 minutes before the start of the session in which they will present to ensure enough time to mount their presentations for electronic projection.
All presentations should be made available in Microsoft Office Powerpoint on a flash USB disk drive or CD. Speakers may not use their own laptop nor use a MAC version. Please ensure the presentation available in duplicate media to prevent bad surprises on the day
